This website is devoted to Catholics in their 20's and 30's. Please take a few moments to look around and be sure to check back frequently for information on ministry events!
Following the lead of the US Bishops and our diocese, the goals of our parish young adult ministry are to connect young adults with:
1) Jesus Christ
2) The Church
3) The mission of the Church in the world
4) A peer community in which our faith is nurtured and strengthened
It is our hope that the Catholic Church, and our parish in particular, can provide Catholics in their 20's and 30's, especially those who feel alienated, opportunities to truly feel an integral and necessary part of the church community. We also hope to provide the chance to gather with other young adults so that we may share and reflect on our life journey and self-discovery together.
Events at Assumption:
Young Adult Ministry Fellowship Group
We are looking for people interested in forming a fellowship group. This group would meet after Mass, spend a little time sharing a meal (everyone would bring a dish to pass) and socializing and then split into two groups (men and women) where we separately discuss either a book or a Bible study that each group is reading together (groups select their own material). After our separate discussions we would come back together as one group for a closing prayer before ending for the day. This group is for everyone, even those of you with children. We have ways to help entertain kids while you participate in the group discussions. We believe that by participating in this group we can deepen our relationship with God and our understanding of scripture, as well as have the opportunity to meet other Catholics in our age group who belong to Assumption. If you are interested, please send us an e-mail at the address at the top of the page.
